A retrospective review of 800 pregnancy records in one family practice
found "a 38-fold difference in the frequency of domestic violence and
sexual abuse between the group that successfully breastfed and the groups
that did not."

Also found a study which reduced infant abandonment in Thailand--from 33
per 10,000 births to 1 per 10,000 births when rooming in and early
nursing were implemented.
