 It may be helpful to freeze smaller quantities at each time so there is only a small amount in each bottle. That way, if it is thawed too long, it will not be too much of a waste.
She may also try to use sippy cups, holding the baby in different positions while giving the bottle, and/or  giving the bottle while the baby is not fully awake.

Perhaps she could try sending fresh milk if possible.  Some babies notice 
that previously frozen milk tastes different from fresh.  I can't answer as to 
the shelf life of prev. frozen milk and room temp, sorry.
