Hi All,
Rob said it took him 60 seconds to look up drug info. All I want to know
is, Rob, how on Earth did you find so much time to look up something as
important as if a drug was ok, or not, for BF moms? I thought all you Dr
types were too busy to do anything like that. Better be careful who you
tell about looking up important info for those breastfeeding women. The
other Docs will get mad at you for making them look lazy!

Jay (tongue firmly in cheek!)
Who wishes that Docs here would take the time, any time, so that moms didn't
call me asking how to wean beacuse the Doc couldn't be bothered to get
his/her own Hale to do it him/herself. It is their job to be informed, right?

You know, on a bit of a side note, has anyone noticed lately how Drs, in
general, are falling off their pedestals? I have talked to so many people
lately, some BF moms some not, who are so tired of their Drs not being
properly informed about different heath issues. I had to really push the
issue of telling the Ped about a baby with a mom the other day because she
had gotten lousy info from him, the baby got dehydrated, I came to the
resuce, and now she doesn't trust Peds anymore. Sigh... I think that there
is so much health info out there that Drs simply can't keep up with it all.
Why the hard time about saying "You know, I need to do a bit of research on
that, then I will get back to you" or "Here, let me refer you to someone who
knows more about this than I do". I think it would make them look a lot
better, more respectable, and more ethical.
Of course, all OUR Docs here on Lactnet, are great, and deserve to be on
pedestals!
