Why I think the argument over probiotics misses the point:

I have often made the point to clients that babies have "stone-age" needs for nourishment and nurturing, since they have a stone-age limbic system. But, what they do not have is a stone-age environment in which to grow--not in the world and not in utero. I am sure not suggesting evolving is a bad thing, but as I said before, human milk is no salvation from a poisoned world.? So, yes, I do think we very often need to intervene with supportive measures to help babies manage such damage. 

Of course, better to eliminate the toxins altogether.
