I have been noticing that the sterile specimen containes provided by the
NICU for storage of fresh and frozen breastmilk has a very srong plastic-y
odor. Is this plastic off gassing into the milk? I have tried washing the
container, drying, rinsing, drying , all to no avail. Do the macrophages
adhere to the glass for use in storing fresh milk to be consumed in a
matter of hours sometimes one, sometimes 12 or as many as 24, in brown
glass containers?

Warmly,
Lisa Boisvert-Mackenzie
