Nikki, I agree with you that docs and technology should not grab much
credit for overall trends, but you're   flattering prenatal care.

The biggest life preserver in obs in the West has surely been been the
overall improvement in living conditions,  including adequate diet and
adequate hygiene...right the way back into a woman's own babyhood and
childhood.
