I just got my local military newspaper and in it was an article
concerning a Department of Defense (DoD) research project on military
service members and breastfeeding entitled "The Lived Experience of
Military Women Who Discontinued Breastfeeding Before Planned." No
researcher or author listed, no real conclusions - the article centered
on personal experiences.  The dates listed for the research were 1996 to
1997. The byline on the article was a Major Ann Hochhausen; Darnell Army
Community Hospital; Fort Hood, Texas, which really could mean nothing
more than she read the research paper and is commenting on it.

Any one hear of this, seen a paper, abstract and/or conclusions? Since
about one third of the mothers I work with are active duty military, I
would be very interested to add this to my files.
