Catherine says:
"These are the cases that break my heart. Why can't moms who choose
not
to breastfeed trade their perfectly normal breasts with these moms
who
will do anything to give their babies every drop of their milk
possible?"

This is one of my biggest frustrations (after dealing with
administration that just doesn't get it). At least once a week, if
not more often, I see one baby that can "suck milk from a rubber
ball" with a mom leaking colostrum all over the place that decides
to give up breastfeeding because baby had the hiccups (or some
equally inane reason). In the next room, with her bed literally a
couple feet from the other mom, is a woman who looks forward to
nursing well beyond the first year whose breasts show all the signs
of IMS, whose baby has a blatant tongue tie and noone who will clip
it or some other major problem interfering with nursing. Where is
the magic wand to switch the two a la "Freaky Friday"? (For those
not in the US, that's a movie about a battling mom and teenage
daughter who magically get switched into each other's bodies.)
