This one is for K Detwyler or any Jewish Rabbinical scholars of the Talmud?
or New Testament scholars who can show feeding practices of that time, The
elder (whose wife I was talking to today) said he'd show me passages that
infants didn't just drink breastmilk, like it was scriptural to feed other
things or unscriptural to "JUST Breastfeed" (when you respond to this
would you please id yourself as to your specialty?) I have had a
discussion with all the old ladies of my womens' church group, at a shower
for a premie (born 8 weeks early), but who is now 4 months (not adjusted)
She's doing well in spite of no mom's milk but They nearly ALL recommended
mom to start cereal now because she is so "hungry" This is a WIC baby and
a non WIC nurse told mom it's OK to start cereal (rice ) at unadjusted 4
months age, baby is on regular enfamil with fe (normal volumes) but because
she is "hungry" at 3 hours (rather than the 4 hours she ate at the nicu).
"SHE MUST BE HUNGRY" and needs more than formula! baby is at 75% growth
all 3 parameters without cereal but 4-5 old ladies ( with obese adult
children) All said their babies went home on 4 oz of formula per feeding
and cereal per dr orders and they were on fruits at about 2-4 weeks regular
cows milk by 6 months "And see how well they did" ???!!!???

What did early moms do (mediterranean area) about early feeds to infants?
Did/does the Talmud have feeding guidelines for infants? weaning advice?
I go to the old testament sources because modern christians are less likely
to breastfeed than probably any other faith, Am I wrong on this statistic?
or just jaded today (Sunday?).

What does the research conclude these days? By the way I said "since they
didn't have baby food factories, that Mary probably fed Jesus when He had
teeth rather than pureed processed baby foods (unless she did as pre-modern
moms who gave pre-masticated baby foods and transferred by finger or mouth
directly to infant.

I also thoroughly shocked them when I said He was probably nursed until he
was 5 years old !!! thanks ruthy wilson rn ibclc, who needs to quit
worrying about all the babies out there not getting God's BEST.....Isn't it
NEAT that even baby Moses got his mom's BEST !
