Hi Lactnetters,

I am a postpartum doula who has been lurking for quite some months. The
reason I am writing is that I am working with a Mom who delivered triplets
seven weeks ago. The third one came home today.

The Mom has been great about pumping and bringing the breastmilk to the
hospital and they have also been supplementing with Enfacare in the
breastmilk.

She has been very hesitant to actually put the babies to breast but finally
today mentioned that she went into the tub with them over the weekend and
didn't have a good experience with getting either one to latch on. I said
that we could work on that tomorrow, if she likes. She mentioned that she
may have a LC come in next week. While I think that is great I would love to
encourage her and not waste any more time. I am looking for some good ideas
from all of you who are much more experienced. I can't really judge what is
going on as I haven't seen any of the babes at breast yet. She has been
using the Avent bottles. If you feel I am wrong about waiting until next
week when she can get the LC there, please do let me know.
