I'd teach her to let the baby self attach. Her helper can put the baby 
to her chest, under a blanket if necessary to keep him warm with that 
fan going! Fortunately, he's a good sized kid, and has some subcutaneous 
fat to help keep his temp up. If she can sidelie in a stable position, 
he can find his own way to the breast and self attach that way as well. 
She can get help to roll over or roll down at the next feeding.

She can also use a sling to keep him close without having to use her 
arms much. The sling will also keep him warm.
