I had a great time in Idaho this past weekend -- thanks to all who came,
and to those who organized it. There was one funny/tender moment I just
have to share. Dr. Jack was giving the talk right after lunch, and sitting
at the front table was the young woman who was helping with audio-visual
needs. She is also a doula, and had been up all night with a woman in
labor, who delivered about 5 am, before the conference began at 8 am. At
one point during Jack's talk, the young woman fell asleep, with her head
down on the table. I *really* wanted to grab my camera and take a picture,
and then caption it: "Dr. Jack wows them in Idaho!" You'll just have to
use your imagination. In fact, of course, he did WOW them in Idaho, and it
was a privelege to speak at the same conference, and to get to talk to him
more in person before and after. It was also great to meet lots of
LactNetters.
