Hi Margery,

Happy to hear that the mom received the medication that she needed.
However, I think that the company may have done you a disservice by not
giving you the ammunition to educate the HMO.  Ultimately the next mom
who needs the prescription may not get the medication because the HMO's
pencil pusher was effectively able to get rid of your patient.
Secondarily, as with all medications the pharmacist should be providing
patient education.  I wish the pharmaceutical companies would consider
these points before they freely give out their samples.
