A patient called our lactation line to inquire about breastfeeding
after laser removal of a tattoo. The tattoo is on her ankle and the
doctor said she couldn't BF for 24 hours after the treatment. When
she questioned why she was told because laser is like x-rays?!?!? We
suggested she have the procedure after she weans but wants it done
now. This sounds odd to us but we don't have any literature to
confirm or deny. Any info from the group?
