Hi All,
I really feel the need to jump in on this hair dryer use on nipples with
yeast or soreness. Now, please correct me if I am wrong, but a hair dryer
causes the skin to dry very quickly, much more quickly than plain air drying.
This fast drying of such sensitive skin, especially if it is sore, tender or
yeasty, would IMO, cause more problems than it would help. Sure the warm air
feels good, but the fast drying chaps the skin and pulls out moisture making
the skin more susceptible to cracking and bleeding. And in the case of
yeast, wouldn't this open more crevices for the yeast to get into causing
more problems?
I don't know anything about air in the vagina, but what Dany said makes sense
to me. I mean, realistically, how many times have we ended up with the
"farty" noises from our private regions causing us to giggle with
embarrasment with our partner?? :) Personally, I think that the best part
of our bodies to be blown dry with a hair dryer is our hair. I know that
yeasty and sore nipples can be difficult to pat dry (ouch!), but you only
need to pat around the the affected areas, not on them, then let them air
dry. Much easier on the skin, don't you think?

My .02...

Jay
