Diane and Cee mentioned reading in their baby books (from the same era I was
born in!) that they were fed a concoction which included Karo syrup.  Well,
I don't know if I got Karo syrup or not because I don't have a baby book
(though I do know my mom says we got Similac formula and I didn't know it
has been around that long.)  But the reason I don't have a baby book is
because my mother (who bottle fed us all dutifully, as instructed by the
doctor...the same habit she has today regardless of what her RN daughter may
say!) had all 5 of my siblings and I, as well as one miscarriage, in the
space of 4 1/2 years!  I am 14 months younger than my brother who is 15
months younger than my oldest sister.  Follow me now, my younger sister is
11 months younger than I am and my youngest brother is 14 months younger
than her!!!  Who in the world could keep up with all those diapers and
formula, forget the baby books?!
