Just wanted to let everyone know that the MBC has developed a new page on our
web site.  A few months back we had developed an algorithm to help
breastfeeding in the first 2 weeks.  That was titled "Approach to Early Breastfeeding: a
guide for healthy term newborns, 48 hours to 2 weeks."  What we defined to
use in this guide did not apply to the infant in the first 2 days so we created
this new information sheet.  It has the same design as the first but is not an
algorithm.
The new page is "The Best Start: a guide for healthy term newborns, birth to
48 hours."  The web link is:

Both of these pages have PDA formats available and everyone is free to
download these.  We just ask that you do not change anything on them when using.
We hope you all can view this page and give us any feedback.
We will be sending this out to all our childbirth educators, maternity units,
OB, Peds and FP clinicians in our state.
