Actually, blame not being pregnant anymore...
Women with autoimmune illnesses: RA, lupus... may experience a reduction of
symptoms/remission while pregnant, after the baby is born they often
experience flares of said illnesses.

I have an autoimmune arthritis and definitely experience both the remission
and the flare, but my understanding is that the relapsing after the baby is
born would happen whether breastfeeding or not.
