Ha! Yeah, and...?

One of my beautiful, intelligent, brave, formerly-breastfed daughters is
gay. What about it? The contributions she makes to the world in the work she
does and is preparing to do make me enormously proud. She is strong and
fearless and kind, and committed to serve the world we live in in ways that
will make a difference.

Apart from the complete and utter ignorance of a comment like that (which is
pretty egregious, I gotta say!)- what, are you supposed to cower in fear at
the thought that one of your dear children might prefer to share their life
with a member of the same gender? Boy, I can sure think of lots more
terrifying things that could happen to my kids!
