I stand corrected by Julie Lancaster.  I looked in my nutrition books and
found that corn is, in fact, a respectable source of iron.  I think that my
prior post explains the reason that I didn't consider fixing it for my
children.  I fed them what we eat, and grits wasn't on the menu.
