Carol, this reminds me of a seminar several years ago when a team of speech
therapists from our children's hospital gave a presentation at a Lactation
consultants seminar. I thought they were ill-advised not to arrive prior to
their presentation to listen to some of the other presentations, but when
they started talking I was shocked like you. They talked about doing a
feeding assessment and seeing how it felt for the mother - they were talking
about bottle feeding and didn't consider for a minute that they were talking
to about 100 Lc/nurses etc who considered "feeding" to be breastfeeding!
