Compressed ducts from a heavy breast? I have had mothers feel less discomfort if they were wearing a well supporting bra. ( I know some women have more discomfort with a bras, it depends on the situation)

Second day of breastfeeding had the same result pain increased slightly but she was able to 'deal with it'. This morning mother requested assistance with breastfeeding. When i walked into the room mother states that she just tried and it was very painful. She states that the pain is located on the underside of the breast. She drew an imaginary line from the edge of the areola down to her breast. The line was dead center in the breast. She described it as deep sharp pain. Mother was willing to latch infant onto the breast and when she lifted up her arm she stated that she could feel the pain on the underside of her breast again and just lifting up the breast slightly caused pain. When the infant started to nurse the pain increased (mother in tears) mother had to remove infant from the breast after 3 minutes of nursing. We tried the other breast and had the same result. Mother still denied nipple pain and stated that it was still located in the center underneath the breast. The pain has increased today and transitional milk is also starting to come as well, breast are getting heavier.

Mother denies any kind of surgery to the breast or back, denies chest tube placement, or heart surgery. Mother does report that during menstrual cycles breast are very sensitive to touch but it is the entire breast not just this one line. Mother does report having raynauds symptoms in 2 fingers on her left hand. (There was no color change of the nipple).
