Dear Joyce,

        I got a funny feeling when reading your rant.  How old is the
lady in question?  Did the baby's dad do most of the talking?  Did he
seem controlling?  Does the mom feel like she has any control over the
events in her life?

`       I am wondering whether this lady is in an abuse situation, or
whether she wanted this baby.  I may have put that in stronger terms than
I meant to... but it sounds like this woman has issues to deal with that
are out of the range of lactation help.  It seems that she was reluctant
to take care of the baby even before it was born (refusing to decrease
salt intake in the face of HELLPS).

        I hope you can somewhat resolve this before going away.  I know
how these things can nag at you.
