I know there's some controversy about how significant caffeine intake is in
fibrocystic breast disease (FBD). I was particularly amused to find that
the Chocolate Information Center (supported by Mars, Inc.) eagerly provides
references to studies that reject the association of caffeine and related
compounds with FBD: http://www.chocolateinfo.com/sr/sr_article_03.jsp

OTOH, my personal experience is that my breasts got a lot more comfortable
after I graduated from college and quit drinking coffee frequently to stay
awake in boring classes or pull all-nighters. And I've known many women who
really don't keep track of how much caffeine they consume in a day in its
many forms -- until they're telling me about their problems with insomnia or
FBD and I ask them about the hot drinks, soft drinks, pain meds, etc.
they're having.
