HI Jay,
You didn't say if the baby's mouth was examined.  I would also carefully
examine the mouth, checking the tongue and palate.
Have you observed her nurse?  How does the nipple look right after a nursing,
what do they look like right after pumping?  What is the pain like for this
mom, description of the pain and duration?
Mom is one month postpartum, has this been going on the whole time or
something more recent?
This added info may help us solve this puzzle.
