>It was as if a weight was lifted when I read the UK revision, "We'd tuck 'em
>up in bed." Heh! So would I!

If this was the question about low milk supply at 5 weeks, that's certainly
an option, it wasn't something that came from me...just to make it clear :
)

This is actually quite a difficult thing for some women to do, and by 5
weeks, a lay counsellor would find it hard to steer the encounter round to
suggesting it...or I would, anyway.

It is better, as a lay counsellor, to explore with the mother all the
things she might be able to manage which would make it easier for her to
feed ad lib (always assuming that some observation has taken place of how
she is attaching and positioning)...and going to bed for a couple of days
is almost always the last thing she feels she can do....but she can usually
do other things, with family support and help, like sleeping for at least
part of the night with her baby, keeping her baby close to her, not putting
(or trying to) the baby down in a cot the second he closes his eyes,
feeding *before* the baby is upset and crying.
