I am working with a mother who will be doing some major pumping over the next
couple weeks due to hospitalized baby. (One I posted about before--baby is
more stable, kidneys back on track, tube feedings of ebm began yesterday,
surgery to correct heart defects coming up probably Monday, Nov. 27.)
Anyway, the mother has HUGE nipples that don't fit into the flanges of either
of the standard breastpump kits. When the suction draws them in, they are
rubbed raw because they are greater in diameter than the nipple hole in the
flange. Manual expression is not easy for her; two-year old helps out some but
can't be at the hospital all day w/mother...
Does any company make a large flange that will attach with standard tubing,
etc. to a hospital pump?
Please e-mail me privately since we are doing brand names here.
TIA,
