I think Paula Meier did mention Kangaroo Care as a positive factor in
producing milk for premies. Try one of these, I'm not sure which one you
need:
Meier P: Bottle- and breastfeeding: effects on transcutaneous oxygen
pressure and temperature in preterm infant. Nursing Research. 37:37-41,
1988.
Meier P: Suck-breathe patterning during bottle and breastfeeding for preterm
infants. In: Major controversies in infant nutrition, editied by T.J David.
International congress and symposium series no. 215, published by Royal
Society od Medicine Press Limited.
Meier P en Brown L: Strategies to assist breastfeeding in preterm infants.
Recent advances in paediatrics, ongedateerd.
Meier P et al: Breastfeeding support services in the neonatal inensive-care
unit. JOGHH, 22:338-47, 1993
Meier P et al: A new scale for in-home test-weighing for mothers of preterm
and high risk infants. J Hum Lact 10(3): 163-68, 1994.
Kavanaugh K et al: The rewards outweigh the effords: breastfeeding outcomes
for mothers of preterm infants. J Hum Lact 13(1): 15-21, 1997.
Meier P en Brown L: Breastfeeding for mothers and low-birth weight infants.
N Clin of NA 31(2):351-65, 1996
