I'm so glad you spoke up for the "factory" analogy.  I have been
using the factory/warehouse scenario for many years.  While the
comment that it may seem too much like the factory production of
formula has some validity, I honestly don't think many new and
future parents will make this connection.  And the factory one
describes it better than any of the other ones I have heard.  I
usually refer to the factory making something like "widgets" or a
simiilar fictitious object rather than any reference to food whick I
think also removes it from a possible comparison to manufacturing
formula.
