I just wanted to say, that I had a perm at 6 weeks PP while my daughter
was nursing.  It took, but while my previous perms lasted a year or more
(this is quite long anyways) this one seemed to fizzle (or frizzle!) out
much sooner, about 6 months.  I had VERY thick hair before my pregnancy,
but after I delivered, I too lost hanfuls of hair, and it is still not
even close to as thick as it was before baby.  She is almost 17 months,
so I guess it may have to do with nursing.  Just my personal $.02!
