Barbara,
Do you have LLL's legal packet and information?  If not get the mom to pay
for it and have it ZAPPED to you from LLLI.  It will help you a lot.  You and
your lawyer need the information from other cases and the legal references.
Be sure the mom's lawyer reads it and USES the information when he questions
you.
The issue here should be separation.  The risk is to the baby's emotional
health being separated from mom, the primary care giver, at this tender age,
and secondarily that it puts breastfeeding at risk because the baby may or
may not be willing to nurse after being away for a weekend.  Sometimes it
works and sometimes it does not.  I've had moms who go away for 2 days to 2
weeks and baby will go back to the breast, but have unhappily had several who
completely refused.  Even when the mom spend then next 2 weeks with the baby
skin to skin, doing everything they could to coax the baby to nurse, the baby
would not budge.  It was devastating to mom.  The baby just gets tired of
being shuffled around, and having everything in his/her little life changed
every so often.  If the bottle seems to be available and dependable -- baby
chooses what he/she can rely on.
