Yup, this is scheduled " non-feeding". The baby is already sleeping "through the night" (5.5 hours qualifies). If the mom does this she is in danger of losing her milk supply, due to engorgement. I would tell her that she was doing a good job as she was and to answer her baby' cries. (And you can tell her I said that!)
