Update on the vegan breastfed baby saga. While the judge finally decided
that there was never any right to call the baby failure-to-thrive, the
excuse they used to take him from his parents originally, the baby has been
in various foster cares all this time (since August) since it was obvious
that because he had not been vaccinated, was being breastfed over 12
months, didn't wear diapers, was given only organic vegan foods, was not
allowed to wear polyester, was born at home, was abducted from foster
care... that they weren't fit to be parents. The child was healthy and
happy before being taken from parents, albeit a little anemic, but he's
been ill off and on ever since and not gaining weight any faster -- even
though he's been on dairy formula and all the "normal" foods the court (or
whoever) thought would be so important for him. Now he's being tube fed
(while strapped down) the dairy formula because he's been vomiting so much
since they took him from the last foster care and put him into a state
hospital for slow weight gain that the foster family denies -- and I
wouldn't doubt if they assumed it was caused by the little bits of
breastmilk the mom was still able to bring -- against the court's better
judgement. (He was also "accidentally" vaccinated before sending him to the
hospital). I only have a little more info -- can e-mail me off list.
