This is purely anecdotal and may not be of too much help, but anyway: I
had a call from a kibbutz woman who had undergone fertility treatment to
achieve pregnancy and at about 2 mo. pp said that the baby's wt gain was
never good and that she had very little milk. I asked if she could find
out what medication she received, but she never got back to me. I always
had the *feeling*, from her description, that she had had
hyperprolactinemia with subsequent long-duration suppression of
prolactin, but no substantiation for this feeling, and I've always
wondered. I am very interested in reading further discussion on this
topic, since Israel is very active in the area of fertility treatments,
and if there is any "fallout" affecting lactation, I'd like to know about
it. Judy K. in Beer Sheva, Israel
