My husband, a vaccine specialist, tells me that the amount of thimerosal in
vaccines is minimal and when administered to adults is very diluted. In his
opinion and those of other vaccine experts at CDC the transfer of this
preservative into breastmilk would be trace if any.

Check out CDC's website for more information.

BTW, the "threat" of thimerosal is for children 6 months of age and under and
is theoretical. Nothing has been proven but the concern is that children 6
months of age and under are more sensitive to the mercury and these children
are typically being vaccinated against several life-threatening illnesses at
one time. No *single*vaccine contains enough thimerosal to be of danger.
