Hi All,
Will be working with a WIC mom with myasthenia gravis. Doc had told her not
to breastfeed because of "faulty antibodies". All the info I've accumulated
so far gives no indication for this rationale. I'll be working on
positioning to compensate for muscle weakness and assuring adequate rest.
Have any of you worked with a client with m.gravis? Other things I should
look for?? (Meds will be assessed when I talk with the mom.) She will be
induced on Wednesday, and baby will remain hospitalized for one week minimum
to watch for symptoms/problems.

TIA,
Kathy
