Heather makes a very good point.  While I am all in favor of this kind of
networking, it can indeed cause trouble for donors if there is not a
go-between to keep things anonymous.  Besides people who are kooky or
pretending, there are ordinary desperate mothers.  The case I'm aware of
involved a donor mom who needed to stop donating, and a recipient family who
couldn't accept that.  Begging and tears followed.

I had a huge stash of milk free of the top nine allergens, but a milk bank
couldn't take it because I drank nettle/oatstraw tea.  I don't even remember
how I connected with a recipient, but one of the reasons I was so
comfortable donating was that it was a one-time thing and the only info the
recipients had was my email and my town.  She created a FedEx account and I
shipped from my local depot at her expense.  She paypalled me USD10 for dry
ice, a cooler, and a box.  They sent me a Christmas photo by email, and I've
never heard from them since.
