I am wondering if your hospital staff/doctors have seen the "Kangaroo Care" video?  If not, then they need to. It shows how vital the S2S contact is for the preemies and all babies in fact.  It is a wonderful video-it explains how it helps regulate babies temps better than "warmers" and helps even out the heart rate. It is truly fascinating and is a must see.
