I've worked with several mothers whose milk supply were drastically
affected by the depo shot, and another who experienced depression. My
sister-in-law suffered a severe case of low milk supply almost
immediately after receiving her depo shot. When she quit the shots, her
milk flowed like a river. Definitely get more information about the
depression aspect and the very real possibility that a mohter's milk
supply may be compromised.

On another subject, I'm fuming because I just received two separate
calls minutes apart; one from a mom whose doctor told her to wean her 6
month-old because the mom had mastitis and the other call from a mom who
rushed to the ER with a 3 week-old for an apnea episode and was told by
the ER doc that breastfeeding caused her baby to almost die!
