What would the rationale be for recommending the child be weaned before such
a transplant?
Isn't it the case that other organ transplants 'take' more readily in people
who were BF?  Wouldn't current BF be even better?  Besides, if the baby is
going to be further immunosuppressed, how can they justify removing such a
whopping source of immune support at such a crucial time?
Please post more on this, it sounds fascinating.
