I don't have this problem to the extreme that this mom does, but I do
have to be careful sometimes so I don't end up noticeably lopsided. My
left side produces more than my right side. With my first nursing baby
I tried what you're "supposed" to do, which is alternate the side that
you start on. Obviously no one informed my breasts of this "rule"
<grin> and that led to a really big left side and a puny right side.
(Not to mention I never could remember which side I needed to start on,
and even using a safety pin or something required that I remember to
move the safety pin back and forth!) So I just started to always nurse
on the right (lesser producing) side. I nurse till s/he finishes on
that side and then switch. That way that first breast gets a bit more
stimulation and the 2nd one a bit less since the baby is hungrier for
the first breast and not so much for the 2nd.

In this extreme case it does sound like there is something else going
on, but maybe just always starting on the smaller side could help to
even things out a bit????
