Hi Fay,

Thank-you for posting that.

Unfortunately for this mom, the radioactive iodine exposure for ablation therapy is so high, she must not even be lactating during the therapy in order to protect her breast tissue and be sure the radiation goes to the thryroid tissue where it can be effective in destroying the cancer. She will not even be able to be around her children for days after therapy. If she were still lactating, her milk would be dangerously radioactive for 3-6 months.
