I can't speak to most of Laura's post, but IMHO many men accept things
more easily from other men. This is a major reason why I'm here - I think
that a man conducting BFing education can reach men who wouldn't
otherwise listen, and that when we get a large enough number of men
committed to having their children BFed for a few years, the barriers society
(with the ABM pushers) has erected will be easily torn down.

In the meantime, when you do prenatal classes, tell the men about the
huge savings in health care costs with BFed kids, and the higher IQ's
BFed kids enjoy. The moms may be interested in empowerment and
solidarity, but we've got to reach the dads, too, and lower costs and higher
IQ's have a huge appeal. Lack of support and poor BF management
can both yield to education.

Jonathan
