I have a question related to this topic.  Are IBCLC's mandatory reporters?  If I had recieved this call I would be required by law to report this mom for potential child abuse if I felt the baby to be in any danger.  I am required due to my RN licence, but is this also true for LC's?  
Or is this another example of how our certification doesn't have the strenghth of licensure?
