Citalopram is a serotonin reuptake inhibitor. It has little acute toxicity.
Oral bioavailability : 80%
Protein bound : less than 80%
Half life : 33 hours
It has active metabolites, with similar characteristics.
Iatrogenic effects : nausea, dizziness, trembling, sedation.
