Jan, thanks. It's great to have someone present the other side of the
coin. Throwing out cabbage might be as extreme as throwing out cole slaw.

You're right, the study has a few glitches, but then most studies do. As
long as we have human subjects we can't control all of the variables.
(Some studies are just worse than others.)

I don't have any strong opinions on any of this stuff, but I'd worry that
if the information about ths listeria is out there, and if an infant ever
did die, the attorney  might make mincemeat out of the LC who
recommended this practice.
