Possibly something is off that has nothing to do with breastfeeding, or how he gets milk (br or bot or spoon). 
 
Makes me think of Prader Willi (hyperphagic, lacking the internal regulation responsible for satiety, abnormally high food intake etc.) It is a chromosomal defect. The major exception is that he doesn't signal hunger and Prader Willi does that to excess.  
 
Maybe someone else knows of another syndrome that fits.  :-( Pat in SNJ
