Sorry it’s taken me a few days to reply.

Hospital policies vary widely. An increasing number of hospitals are expanding use donor milk beyond the NICU to full term and late preterm units.



Long term use, such as adoption and SMA involve out patient dispensing of milk as well. HMBANA milk banks require a prescription for out patients. These are occasionally, but rarely, covered by insurance.
