My older children have had illnesses that made them only want to
nurse and not eat their usual foods. Their stools reverted to the
nice yellow breastfed-baby stools, for as long as they were on
breastmilk only. Their normal toddler/preschooler stools returned
when they got well and began eating table foods again.

I have also noticed this when an older child nurses thru pregnancy
and then tandem nurses. When the new baby arrives and mom's milk
becomes abundant, the older child may enjoy the bounty so much that
his/her stools look like a newborn's.

I think any time breastmilk makes up most of a child's diet (taking a
guess, 85-90% or more?) you will see the seedy yellow
pleasant-smelling stools.
