I have been getting ads lately again for hydrogel dressings for BF moms with
sore nipples. Several years ago these were going to be the greatest thing
since a proper latch, and then somebody linked them to increased risk of
mastitis and they disappeared overnight in the BF literature. Now they seem
to be back. Does anybody use them and with what success? I have checked my
books and the only thing under "moist wound healing" is lanolin. Not a
mention anywhere of hydrogel. Can anyone enlighten me please?
